Our business models
Our corporate coffee shop model is primed to offer our customers a flavoursome coffee beverage and healthy snacks for their staff, whilst addressing the South African transformation agenda with active B-BBEE participation through the inclusion of a transformed supplier into their procurement value chain.
Our coffee beans are responsibly and sustainably sourced and have been selected from specific farms through our diverse network of African suppliers which has been built up over many years. Our beans are sourced mostly from small subsistence farmers and their families with less than 10 hectares. This speaks to our ethos of ensuring that we create revenue for local businesses down the value chain.
Our clients are corporates who want to include artisan coffee as part of their staff contingent's daily routine, and corporate landlords who want to create further value for their corporate tenants. We take our customers' needs and spaces into account and mold our offering around these variables.
At Urban Black Roasters we pride ourselves on our use of coffee as the connecting point to our shared South African identity, heritage, and diversity. We are unapologetically South African and provide our customers with an authentic South African experience. Our motto is “Taste the story, change the future!”

Our competitive advantage is the skills and experience contained within the team and our expert coffee roasting ability. We have refined our corporate coffee store and are poised to expand our reach within Nelson Mandela Bay.
Our expansion plans will not only help us to achieve our envisioned goal but to also try and alleviate youth unemployment by creating sustainable jobs.
